About Us

Friends of the Nutley Public Library is a non-profit organization dedicated to the improvement of Nutley’s most treasured asset – its library.

Since its founding in 1985, the Friends have supported the Library through financial gifts that provide a full array of programs for children, teens and adults in addition to the Library’s audio/hard copy books, technology and furnishings.

The Friends proudly sponsor the successful and popular Summer Reading Program, providing wonderful enrichment activities as well as many prizes for our Nutley youth, and a reading challenge for all ages.

Our two main fundraisers are our Author’s Tea Meet and Greet, and our Semi-annual Book sale, held in the Stockton Room. We also offer Dining with Friends and Sip and Paint fundraisers.
